About Mike Adams

I am Bro. Michael R. D. Adams, currently a partner at DeCuir, Clark & Adams, the largest minority-owned law firm in Louisiana. I currently serve as Legal Counsel for the Friendship Foundation, I hold a full professorship at Southern University Law Center instructing first and second-year law students, I serve on the national board of directors of IDEAL Schools, I act as the national general counsel for the National Organization for Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) and I chair the deacon board at Gloryland Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, LA.  I am married to Dr. Brunetta Adams and we have three children.

Education

I earned an undergraduate degree in economics from Southern University and a law degree from the Southern University Law Center.  I also hold an advanced degree in LLM in global antitrust and economics from the Scalia Law School at George Mason University Law School in Virginia.

professionally

Over my nearly four decades as an attorney, I have been appointed Receiver for failed insurance companies in Louisiana Courts on 13 occasions and as a Special Master for Opioid litigation.  I have served as president and chaired the board of directors of 100 Black Men of Metro Baton Rouge and I am a past member of the Advisory Committee for the United States Civil Rights Commission.
